After a rocky few years of mental health my husband and I went to see Dr D'Souza. At the time I was feeling quite depressed and fed up but Dr D'Souza was so compassionate and by the end of the first session I left feeling hopeful. We really like her holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing. Obviously a lot of my work with her has been about medication changes which she has managed brilliantly but she is also great at looking at the bigger picture and she has given me little nuggets of life advice/metaphors from her own wealth of experience. I highly recommend her.

My wife was referred to Dr D’Souza for dementia diagnosis, we found Dr D’Souza very supportive and explained the process and resulting diagnosis and possible treatment with great care and detail. The whole experience was both calming and reassuring.

When I first met Dr D'souza, I was so clinically depressed that I had given up on myself and my life. She was very compassionate but realistic.I felt I could trust her and I placed my trust in her treatment plan. We had a series of appointments during which she reviewed my progress and altered meds accordingly. Bit by bit I started to feel human again,to enjoy company and actually laugh. I'm back to myself again.I can't thank Dr D'souza enough for giving the treatment I needed to get to where I am.

I had been suffering with depression/anxiety for over 18 months before I was put in contact with Dr D'Souza. I was in a desperate state. Not knowing what to expect I put my life in her hands and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made. Dr D'Souza listened intently showing understanding and compassion and most importantly put me at ease. She took over the decisions regarding my medication, which I cant thank her enough for. Dr D'Souza was realistic about the process to recovery, she gave me hope that I would feel better. Despite the covid-19 situation Dr D'Souza remained in contact with me during the lockdown. I can't thank her enough for her expertise and her support through a very difficult time in my life. Thank you.

I contacted St. Andrews after not being helped by the secondary mental health service. I explained to the Co-Ordinator that I was desperatefor some help, I was seen by Dr D'Souza within 3 working days. She listened to me and reassured me that I would get better. I had been suffering with severe depression for 4 months. she said I could get in touch if things got worse, after feeling slightly better for a couple of weeks, i felt myself slipping backwards, so I rang her office. Dr D'Souza rang me back within 30 minutes, we spoke and she adjusted my medication. Having waited and waited for call backs from the NHS mental health team and never getting anywhere, I was so grateful for her quick response. After that medication adjustment I was feeling a lot better after 3 weeks and after 5 weeks felt much improved, in so much as I could carry on life how I wanted to (within lockdown restrictions). I wouldn't hesitate to recommed Dr D'Souza.
